The dominants of this locality are definitely Súľovské rocks. The high rocks are an attraction mainly for lovers of rock climbing, but less able tourists will also enjoy themselves. An educational trail leads to the top, from which you will have beautiful views. You can also go to Súľov Castle, to the hill Žibrid or to the Rock Gate in Slapy. The town of Bytča will delight you with the Castle and the Wedding Palace from the Renaissance period. Nearby are the Rajecké Teplice spa, which is considered to be the most attractive in Slovakia due to its unique architecture. You can also bathe at the Veronika swimming pool or at the swimming pool in Žilina. The area is also rich in castles. Do not visit Budatín Castle, Lietavský Castle, Strečno Castle, Hričov Castle or Považský Castle. In winter, the ski resorts Ski Rajecká Lesná, Winter Park Martinky and many others open, where you can enjoy great skiing.
