In the middle of the nature of Horehron, in the village of Čierny Balog, only 300 m from the boarding station of the Čiernohronská železnička train, stands our renovated Chalupa Slovenka. The exceptional location in close proximity to the beautiful Vydrovská valley will take you on walks in summer and winter. The new Barn with a sauna and several options for family celebrations, such as wellness with massages, craft workshops or joint evening screening of films in bad weather.

Our Chalupa Slovenka is an ideal choice for all age groups who prefer an active holiday in nature. You can feel a pleasant rural atmosphere throughout the interior. It is furnished in a traditional folk style, but at the same time provides the necessary comfort of modern times. You can book it as a whole or in individual parts (except for TOP dates):

- The duplex apartment has a capacity of 8 fixed beds + 1 extra bed. You will find your privacy in four cozy bedrooms - three of them are equipped with single beds, one has a double bed. You will be able to cook and bake in our fully equipped kitchen, where there is a ceramic hob, oven, toaster, microwave, kettle and combined refrigerator. In the common room, you will be warmed by the pleasant warmth radiating from the brick fireplace on cold days. You will find a large dining table, TV, radio and board games. There are two bathrooms with showers and toilets, as well as another separate toilet.

- The studio apartment is suitable for 2 - 3 people. This separate unit on the ground floor of the house, also tastefully furnished in folk style, consists of one multifunctional room, which contains a kitchen, two single beds, a comfortable couch (can serve as an extra bed) and a TV. There is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a small hall and an outdoor terrace with seating.

In the yard you can cook a nice pot goulash, prepare grilled specialties or just laze in the sun. Behind the cottage there is a garden, suitable for children's games and a gazebo for relaxing, for example, with a favorite book. We have expanded our portfolio of services to include a renovated barn, which you can use in inclement weather for a family cinema (screening of films) or relax in a heated sauna. If you are interested, you can order massage services. The barn is versatile - it is also an excellent place for your corporate training, family celebrations and meetings or you can use it for yoga and other leisure activities.

The "Čiernohronský expres" runs regularly directly under the windows towards the Lesnícké skanzen (approx. 1.6 km). You can combine a trip to nearby Brezno with a visit to the Rohozná Goat Farm or the new Double Red Cars Museum. Don't miss the popular resorts of Tále, Krpáčovo or Mýto pod Ďumbierom, where mountain biking and skiing fans will especially enjoy themselves. Horehronské cycle trolleys or feeding ground squirrels on the Muránská plain can be an interesting addition to the program. Other popular places include the Bystrianska and Dobšinská ice caves, the unconventional Depo Café with a view of the Chmarošský viaduct and Salaš Zbojská, where you will be satisfied with traditional dishes from Horehronie. Tourists will be pleased with the climb to Kráľova hola, skiers with the proximity of the Čierny Balog ski resort (1 km).
