The home of the Lavína Cottage is the Oravská Lesná recreational area. The cottage is located near the popular Orava Snow ski resort, which is popular with many skiers and snowboarders every year. If you spend your stay here in the summer, don't despair. You can go hiking in the Malá Fatra Mountains, take the Orava Forest Railway, the children will have fun in the Funny Park Rope Center and enjoy the views from the Lookout Tower in Zákamenné. You can also visit the open-air museum in Vychylovka, admire the Slovak Astronomical Clock in Stará Bystrica, Orava Castle, the Colonnade Bridge in Dolný Kubín or Terchová with the statue of Juraj Jánošík in the center of the village.
