Object description
You can find the executioner Matej's house in one of the most picturesque places in southern Bohemia - in Český Krumlov. The guesthouse is in a newly renovated house from the 16th century, but thanks to the stylish furnishings, it retains the flair of the Middle Ages. The total capacity of the guesthouse is 12 people divided into 2 rooms (double and triple) and 2 apartments (double and five). Both rooms and apartments are equipped with a refrigerator, electric kettle and dishes, and in the apartments you can also use a microwave oven. The rooms have a shared bathroom with shower and toilet, while each apartment has its own bathroom with toilet and shower in the double apartment and bathtub in the five-bed apartment. The furniture is made of solid wood and the decoration will really make you feel like you have walked through the door to the Middle Ages. For the smallest members of the family, you can rent a cot, chair and toys. WiFi connection and breakfast in the restaurant next to the guesthouse are included in the price of the stay. You can park in a guarded parking lot 50 m from the guesthouse for a fee. And the best part at the end – every room has a beautiful view of the castle with its garden.
The executioner Matej's house is located right in the historic center of Český Krumlov. The house originally housed the executioner Matěj, who was also a popular healer. You will learn about the rich history of the house and its surroundings directly in the guesthouse, where the medieval atmosphere breathes on you at every step. From the guesthouse, you can take a walk through the historic center of the city, visit the castle and the adjacent gardens. Also visit the famous revolving viewpoint. Have fun at the Český Krumlov Aquarium, go out on the water in a canoe or raft (there are a number of rental companies), go on hikes in the area, go cycling or even go on a horse-riding trip. Český Krumlov is a great starting point for trips around southern Bohemia. But you can also come here to relax - you will also find a wellness center here.
