Welcome to the Cottage and House under Kriváňom, located in the picturesque Liptov village of Východná, from where you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Low, West and High Tatras. Interestingly, the village has the largest land area in Slovakia (19,350 ha) and the symbol of Slovakia, Kriváň (2494 m above sea level), is also part of the land area.

The accommodation is open year-round with a total capacity for 18 people with the possibility of three extra beds.

Maximum comfort during your stay will be provided by a stove-heated bath tub with a diameter of 200 cm (need to be reported at least one day in advance), an infrared sauna (located in the owners' house) and massages. They are available year-round. They are not included in the accommodation price.

There is a covered fireplace in the garden behind the cottage, which can also be used during rainy days or winter months. You can grill, barbecue on the grill (wood is free, charcoal must be purchased) or prepare a kettle goulash in our kettle. There is also a garden seating area, swings and 3 deckchairs. I am happy to lend you equipment for badminton, cricket, petanque, bowling and ball games. The little ones will enjoy the trampoline, swing, slide and sandpit. In the garden you can enjoy seasonal fruit, tea or lemonade made from fresh mint that you have picked yourself.

You can park your cars on the fenced plot next to the cottage. For cyclists, bikers and skiers I can make a garage available for storing bicycles, motorbikes and skis.

The world-famous folklore village of Východná is famous mainly for its preserved traditions, local culture and folklore, which comes to life especially during the Shepherd Festival, the Východná Folklore Festival, the Rozhýbkosti dance camps, Dancing under Kriváňom (for adults), Krpčekovo (for children) and various other cultural events.

The village is also known for the Východná Farm, the highest situated organic farm in Liptov (930 m above sea level). The result of their work is herbal teas, delicious cheeses, exclusive dairy products and various tasty delicacies. You can also ride a horse here, where everyone, even a complete non-rider, will find something for themselves.

Východná is situated approximately in the middle between the towns of Liptovský Mikuláš and Poprad, which are within 30 km of the village, and Štrbské Pleso is only 25 km away. The village has a convenient starting point for trips and hikes to the Low, Western and High Tatras, to Liptov and Spiš. I recommend you to visit the surrounding year-round thermal swimming pools such as Aquapark Tatralandia, AquaCity Poprad, Termal Raj Liptovský Ján and Vodný raj Bešeňová and Lúčky. In winter you can ski on the slopes of the ski resorts Park Snow Štrbské Pleso, Ski center Bačova Roveň, Ski center and STIV Čertovica, Ski center Opalisko or Jasná - Nízke Tatry and others.

The Cottage under Kriváňom is not only accommodation, but also the Gallery of Mariana Sabaková (1978), the sister who inherited her artistic talent from my late grandfather Martin Sabak (1925), who was not only a trained and respected shoemaker in the near and far vicinity, but also a railway worker and, first and foremost, left behind many interesting works as an Art Brut artist. You can see the exhibition Stanica Svet by Martin Sabak at the aforementioned Farm Východná.
In the Cottage under Kriváňom in Východná (Privat Sabaka), you will enjoy quality services, comfortable accommodation and lower prices without the "highland" surcharge.
