Kysuce Museum Čadca

The museum is a specialized regional cultural institution focusing on purposeful accumulation, protection, scientific and expert processing and disclosure of material evidence, focusing on museum documentation development of nature and society, science and technology, culture and art on the territory of Kysuce, from the earliest traces of settlement to the present day . The museum is also specialized museum of national competence in the field of museum documenting the development of forest railways in Slovakia. The museum was established on Oct. 1, 1971 as a District Museum in Čadca, with effect from 1 January 1972. In 1974 the name was changed to the Kysuce Museum. In addition to the permanent exhibition Kysuce is building an exhibition space for conducting temporary exhibitions, the museum seeks to enrich Meeting lectures, video projection and presentation events. Kysucké Museum is one of the main organizers of the International Film Festival of folk culture - Etnofilm Čadca. The museum expositions four - historical logging back swath railway and museum Kysuce village in Nová Bystrica - Vychylovka manor Council and the Joint Natural History Exhibition in beautiful Kysucou.
