The newly renovated Pensión st. Maria is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Starohorská Valley, in the village of Staré Hory. We offer accommodation in double, triple and quadruple rooms and apartments with TV, satellite, private bathroom and a view of the surrounding mountains. We can also accommodate larger groups of people, such as school trips, outdoor schools and various training courses. The total capacity is 51 beds. We offer perfect comfort at affordable prices. To relax, you can use the whirlpool massage tub and dry Finnish sauna under the open sky near a clear stream. The social hall for 50 people is suitable for organizing social events, family celebrations, work meetings, teambuildings, our customers have a furnished bar at their disposal. In addition, we also offer you a wine tasting in the modern renovated original wine cellar under the guesthouse.

Tourists can conquer the surrounding trails across the Veľká Fatra, we recommend you to visit the educational Mining Trail in Španá Dolina, Harmanecká Cave or the Partisan Republic of Kalište. With children you can visit Habakuky or the town of Donovalkovo. In winter you can ski at the surrounding ski resorts Šachtičky, at the famous ski resort Park Snow Donovaly or at the Ski Center Kordíky. History enthusiasts will find their place when visiting the City Castle in Banská Bystrica, the memorial house of J.G. Tajovský or visiting the Central Slovak Museum.
