Bats Cave Špania Dolina
On the western slope of the hill Hrádok is so complex. Šášovská caves, which includes the freely accessible cave of bats, which is about 57 meters. You can see narrower corridors, spacious halls, houses a small lake that will enhance the modest karst in winter and ice (cencúľová) decoration. In the past the cave was inhabited by various animals and humans. Cave bears lived here, later prehistoric people. In ancient cave inhabited by Germanic tribes Quads, in the Middle Ages it is hiding population against the Tartars. During WW2 cave served as a hideout for guerrillas and therefore one hall called Partizánské. Currently, the cave a large number of wintering bats.
