Slovak Troy (Chateau) Šurany
Na okraji obce Nitriansky Hrádok sa nachádza lokalita Zámeček, ktorá patrí k najbohatším archeologickým náleziskám v strednej Európe. Vďaka množstvu vzácnych nálezov sa označuje aj ako „slovenská Trója". V minulosti sa tu od tretieho tisícročia pred naším letopočtom rozkladalo opevnené praveké sídlisko a vystriedalo sa tu aj viacero kultúr. Prvé vykopávky v tejto lokalite robil zakladateľ slovenskej archeológie Ján Eisner. Na tomto mieste sa nachádza aj „slovenská Helena", ktorá je soškou bohyne plodnosti Veľkej Matky. Spolu s Moravianskou venušou je najvýznamnejším archeologickým nálezom na Slovensku. V minulosti bola vyobrazená aj na slovenskej dvojkorunovej minci. V lokalite Zámečka nájdete informačnú tabuľu a terénne pozostatky z archeologického výskumu. V blízkosti je malý parčík so zväčšenou kópiou Hrádockej venuše. Read on
