Great Liptov castle Liptovská Teplá
Made available to the basics of the medieval castle is situated on the site of the old fort, which is also called Sielnický castle. The castle had a watch function and in its time was the highest situated Castle in Slovakia. The first written mention of the castle dates from 1262. The original castle consisted of a residential tower, courtyard, tank and two gates. The castle was destroyed several times, repaired and expanded. In 1474 it was demolished on the orders of King Matthias Corvinus. Read on
