Arboretum in Liptovsky Liptovský Hrádok
Založenie arboréta v Liptovskom Hrádku súvisí so založením lesníckej školy. V roku 1796 sa začal pri budove školy budovať dekoratívny anglický park s výmerou 20 ha. Základ tohto parku tvorilo asi 200 líp, ktoré boli vysadené už v roku 1777. Po zatvorení lesníckej školy strácal svoj význam aj park. Park sa začal obnovovať až po obnovení lesníckej školy v roku 1886. V blízkosti parku bola zriadená aj lesná škôlka s výmerou 10 ha. Pestovali sa tu hospodárskej a okrasné dreviny. V roku 1923 bola výmera škôlky znížená na 3 ha. Rozloha areálu sa z pôvodných 27,17 ha znížila na 23,21 ha. Read on
