Historic train station in Vígľaš
V obci Vígľaš nájdete zaujímavú turistickú atrakciu - historickú parnú lokomotívu, ktorá má niekoľko vagónov. Je situovaná priamo pri hlavnej ceste v západnej časti obce. Táto železnica je pozostatkom úzkorozchodnej lesnej železnice, ktorá sa využívala v minulosti na zvážanie dreva z Poľany. V minulosti sa železnica používala na konský povoz, neskôr bola vybavená parnou a nakoniec motorovou lokomotívou. Počas druhej svetovej vojny slúžila na zásobovanie partizánov, ktorí sa ukrývali v horách. Do dnešného dňa sa zachoval zo železnice len krátky úsek a je chránený ako technická pamiatka. Read on
