Museum L. Mattyasovszky Závažná Poruba
Ladislav Mattyasovszky museum can be found in the Franciscan monastery, which was originally Gothic, Renaissance style. It is named after a famous bishop who led the Franciscans, who were returning to the monastery after they expelled the Protestants during the Reformation. The exposition of the museum you will find sacral objects, sculptures by Master Pavol and rare liturgical objects from the Baroque period. Information panels will present the history of the adjacent Franciscan church. Museum exposition is located in the premises of the ancient cloister začo museum received the 2011 Award of exposure.
