Svoradova cave Nitrianske Hrnčiarovce
On the western slope Zobora there is a small cave, which is named after the hermit St. Zobor. Svorad, which according to tradition lived here sometime in the early 11th century. The cave is freely accessible to the public. Sv. Svorad worked hard all day, ate almost nothing around the waist and wore a metal chain, which he folds into the body. He prayed all day and therefore inventing various mechanisms to fall asleep. He sat on a tree stump, which was surrounded by sharp reeds that stung him when his body tilted. On his head was a crown with four wooden hanging stone that it due to falling head struck. The cave is 30 mA long as the passages are very narrow, entering only the first - the entrance hall. In this network is not karst formations, and there is a cross with holy pictures. The Svoradova cave can be reached via a hiking trail that starts at bus stops Zobor Medical Institute. Čítať ďalej
