Church. Martin in Trstená
You trsteno find the Roman Catholic Church. Martina, located in the city center and its most important cultural monument. It stands on the site of an older medieval Gothic church from the 14 - 15th century and was rebuilt several times. On the church's tower with prospects and four smaller towers. Tower rises to a height of 50 m. The tower is open to the public and operates like a small town museum. The exposition in it is devoted to sacred art in Upper Orava history and traditional life in Trstená. An interesting feature of the church is that in the past it was at the rectory, where he spent the night after skiing then bishop of Krakow Karol Wojtyla, who later became Pope - John Paul II.
