Rakšianske rašelinisko Háj (okres Turčianske Teplice)
Bog is a special type of ecosystem in which the copy remains of dead plants and oxygen shortage arises turf. Slovakia are now bogs rare, because most of them have disappeared. Therefore, those that survive are today mostly protected. The village is located Rakšianske Rakša bog, which is situated on the edge of National Park Big Fatra. Rakšianske forms waterlogged bog meadow, which has a size of about five and a half hectares. Two rivers run through the meadow where waterlogging helped by the ground water. In this unique botanical sites appear different rare species of flora. The most important is the English sundew carnivorous plant that does not grow anywhere else in Slovakia. It is a plant with long red hairs at the end of which the sticky droplet to which when stuck insects, packaging and will remain imprisoned in an adhesive slime. Furthermore, there can also be seen more carnivorous plants and Butterwort ordinary or Krusika marsh orchid. Rakšianske bog can be found on Wetlands Educational Path Turca.
