Beňatinský Lake (Beňatinský travertine) is a unique natural monument, located in the village Beňatina. In the past it was a travertine quarry, which was flooded with crystal clear underground water, which created a magnificent turquoise lake, which recalls Plitické known lakes in Croatia. Beňatinský lake is the easternmost put travertine localities in Slovakia. There are plenty of fossils of tiny sea animals and 5 meter unit, which is a fossilized imprint of a huge prehistoric fish.
