Na námestí Slobody v Dolnom Kubíne sa nachádza nevšedná atrakcia - binárne hodiny, ktoré ukazujú čas v dvojkovej sústave. Je to patent Ing. Pavla Nováka, ktorý je rodákom Dolného Kubína. V súčasnosti sa tu nachádza druhá verzia binárnych hodín s elektronickými tabuľkami, ktoré zobrazujú čísla 0 a 1. Pôvodne tu boli namiesto čísiel lampičky, pričom zhasnutá lampa znamenala 0 a zasvietená 1. Keďže boli hodiny často ničené miestnymi vandalmi, časom ukazovali len nuly.
