Slavošovské tunnel Slavošovce
V dôsledku tzv. Viedenskej arbitráže musela ČSR pred vypuknutím 2. svetovej vojny prenechať Maďarsku územia južného Slovenska. V dôsledku toho sa prerušili niektoré železničné trate a bolo potrebné vybudovať nové. Po vojne Maďarsko tieto územia vrátilo a preto sa dostavba týchto nových tratí nerealizovala ďalej. Po rozbehnutých stavebných prácach sa zachovalo množstvo nevyužitých pamiatok, medzi ktoré patrí aj Slavošovský tunel pod vrchom Homôľka, ktorý spája obce Slavošovce a Magnezitovce. Tunel bez koľajníc patrí k turistickým atrakciám, ktoré navštevujú aj zahraniční turisti. Je dlhý asi 2,5 km a prejdete ho za necelú hodinu. Adrenalínový zážitok vytvára vlhko, chlad, tma a nepredvídateľnosť toho, na čo návštevník v neosvetlenom podzemí narazí. Každý návštevník by si mal na prechod zobrať nepremokavú obuv, teplé oblečenie a vlastný zdroj svetla. Trasa sa dá absolvovať aj na bicykli. Pred vchodom do tunela zo slavošovskej strany nájdete oddychový areál s altánkami, ohniskom a hojdačkami. Read on
