Water mills in the valley Kvačianska Kvačany (okres Liptovský Mikuláš)
Vodné mlyny sú postavené v hornej časti Kvačianskej doliny, ktorá sa nazýva Oblazy, na sútoku Hutianky a Borovianky. Sú začlenené do pôvodného prírodného prostredia. Oba vodné mlyny vznikli v prvej polovici 19. storočia. V roku 1936 bol jeden z nich prerobený na pílu. Horný mlyn- tzv. „gejdošovský", bol postavený obcou Sviniarky a od roku 1920 tu bývali manželia Gejdošovci, ktorí tam žili až do svojej smrti. Horný mlyn je trojpriestorový a postavený na kamennej podmurovke. Dolný mlyn - tzv. „brunčiakovský", bol postavený obcou Veľké Borové. Na Dolnom mlyne boli dve kolesá, ktoré poháňali nielen mlynské zariadenia, ale aj starý typ píly - dnes si túto pílu môžeme pozrieť v rekonštruovanom stave. Read on
