Defunct church in Radoli Radoľa
Nad obcou Radoľa sa vypína vrch Veľký Vreteň, kde nájdete pozostatky najstaršieho kostola na Kysuciach. Kostolík bol postavený v 13. storočí v ranogotickom slohu a slúžil pre celý kysucký región. Keďže to bola jedna z mála kamenných stavieb v okolí, slúžila aj ako útočisko ľudu pred nebezpečenstvom. Kostolík bol posilnený aj obranným pevnostným múrom. V areáli kostolíka bolo pohrebisko. Kostolík zničili husitské nájazdy v 15. storočí. Medzi miestnymi ľuďmi sa až do archeologického výskumu hovorilo o tom, že sa prepadol pod zem a že jediná pamiatka, ktorá sa zachovala je názov vŕšku, na ktorom stál - Koscelisko. Pri archeologickom výskume sa odokryli stavebné základy kostolíka a množstvo vzácnych nálezov, medzi ktoré patrila aj kostená soška svätice zo 14. storočia, ktorá bola tzv. Kysuckou madonou. Ešte nie je ukončený archeologický výskum. Po ukončení sa plánuje zakonzervovanie tohto miesta a umiestnenie informačného panelu. Read on
