County ice-cellar rooms in Vlachov Vlachovo
Ľadovňa je kamenná stavba stavaná do svahu na spôsob pivnice. Vo vnútorných stenách sú silné kované háky. Na ne sa vešalo mäso ulovených zvierat. Stavali sa pri kaštieľskych parkoch. Zámerom staviteľa Grófskej ľadovňe vo Vlachove bolo, aby vyzerala ako egyptská hrobka, preto pred vstupom do ľadovne kedysi stáli štyri sochy, ktoré zobrazovali sfingy. Ľadovňa bola objavená ako chladnička s klímou, ktorá uchováva ľadové kryhy aj v lete. V minulosti ju obec využívala ako chladničku, počas celého leta si uchováva konštantnú teplotu, napr. na chladenie potravín. Read on
