Bog is a special type of ecosystem in which the copy remains of dead plants and oxygen shortage arises turf. Slovakia are now bogs rare, because most of them have disappeared. Rakšianske forms waterlogged bog meadow, which has a size of about five and a half hectares. Two rivers run through the meadow where waterlogging helped by the ground water. In this unique botanical sites appear different rare species of flora. The most important is the English sundew carnivorous plant that does not grow anywhere else in Slovakia.
