Roháčske lakes Konská (okres Liptovský Mikuláš)
Roháčske four lakes can be found in beautiful surroundings Roháče valley, which belongs to the popular sites of the Western Tatras. Roháčske lakes make up a large, second, third and Roháčske Upper Lake. These lakes can be found above each of 1562 - 1719 meters above sea level and connects them Roháčsky stream. According to the legend these lakes created by them that many years ago cried a woman who lost her husband and two sons. It is said that this woman here crying for so long that you have created lakes and even she was transformed into a natural formation - top Plačlivé. There Roháčske lakes you will find rare fauna and flora. For example, in tarns grows a unique plant ježohlav úzkolistý that exist only in a few Tatras mountain lake. Of animals you can observe marmots, chamois, the eagle and the spring pairs of mallards. The Roháče lake can be reached by marked hiking trails from the parking lot or the former Adamcuľa Ťatliakova cottage. Around these lakes is nature trail. Read on
