Vranovo mansion in Palúdzka Liptovský Mikuláš
Od roku 1500 v mestskej časti Liptovského Mikuláša - v Palúdzke stála pevnôstka, ktorá bola obklopená vodnou priekopou. Na začiatku 17. storočia bola táto stavba prestavaná v renesančnom štýle a začala sa využívať ako šľachtická rezidencia. Kaštieľ vlastnilo množstvo šľachtických rodov aj mesto Liptovský Mikuláš. Pred popravou tu bol väznený zbojník a ľudový hrdina Juraj Jánošík, vďaka čomu je kaštieľ známy aj ako "Jánošíkovo väzenie". Istý čas bolo v kaštieli múzeum s expozíciou, ktorá sa venovala životu Juraja Jánošíka. Po páde komunizmu bola expozícia prenesená do Múzea Janka Kráľa v Liptovskom Mikuláši. Dnes kaštieľ nie je sprístupnený pre verejnosť, lebo je v súkromnom vlastníctve. Read on
